Grammy-winning powerhouses Ms. Lauryn Hill and H.E.R. have announced a special one-night co-headling performance in Los Angeles. The concert will take place at the historic Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 16.
The former Fugees member claimed her fame when her solo career soared to new heights after the release of her debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill over 20 years ago. The album received five Grammy Awards.
Recently, Hill apologized to her fans in Glasgow, United Kingdom on Sunday (Aug. 4) after arriving late for her performance at Playground Festival. The New Jersey native is currently on tour for the aforementioned album’s 20th anniversary.
“My sincere apologies Glasgow for the late show and the shorter set. I appreciate the energy and support I did receive from the great crowd, and the patience of the promoters. I hope to come back and make it up to the Glashow audience,” she wrote. “It is only with great respect and love for my art and the audience that I take the stage every performance. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Europe, the crowds have been great and incredibly receptive. I look forward to my upcoming shows in Poland, Italy, Denmark, and the UK. Again, thank you, and my sincerest apologies for that shorter set.”
Singer-songwriter H.E.R. holds two Grammy Awards for Best R&B album (H.E.R.) and Best R&B Performance, “Best Part” featuring Daniel Caesar. Her BET Awards performance of “Lord Is Coming” with YBN Cordae struck a metaphorical cord with spoken word, meditations on culture, and faith. The 21-year-old is set to curate and headline the Lights On Festival (Sept. 14) in the Bay Area. Performances include Jhené Aiko, Daniel Caesar, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, DaniLeigh, and more.
Tickets for The Hollywood Bowl performance go on sale Friday (Aug. 9) but presale stubs are currently available. Buy tickets here.
