Leon Thomas has capped the summer with the delivery of his new EP, Genesis. Released earlier this month (Aug. 24), the 7-track EP is led by the hit single, “Favorite” featuring Buddy, racking nearly 5 million streams since its release.
Mentored by musical legend, Babyface, Thomas has built an impressive skill set with titles like producer, singer, songwriter, and rapper on his resume. Along with his multifaceted efforts on the project, Genesis also contains additional production by frequent Dreamville collaborator Childish Major and Post Malone producer, Roofeeo.
Filled with laid-back and easy-going beats, Thomas taps Elle Varner for a soulful, love-ridden breakup track, “Beg.” “You been drinking Hennessy and I think that you should stay in/ Baby we can work it out, girl I’m tryna stay patient,” Thomas sings.
Leon Thomas is an actor, Grammy Award-winning producer, and rising singer/songwriter. Best known for his place in the Grammy-winning production duo, The Rascals, Thomas has now stepped out into the independent artist game after having already worked with the likes of Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Chris Brown, Jessie Reyez and Toni Braxton.
