Lianne La Havas has developed a cult-like following among music purists with her soulful, yet playful voice. Since the release of her debut album, 2012’s Is Your Love Big Enough, the London born R&B/Folk/Soul singer has been placing listeners in a trance every time she opens her mouth.
The good folks over at NPR invited Lianne, her guitarist and background singer, to perform two cuts from her latest album Blood for their Tiny Desk Concerts series, and to say that Ms. La Havas did a great job would be an understatement.
Performing “What You Won’t Do” a song about proof her man loves her from the games he doesn’t play and the lies he doesn’t tell, as well as “Unstoppable” an ode to a long-lasting love affair, if there were any doubters in the audience, or online, Lianne made sure to nip that right in the butt.
Check out her dope performance below.
