Lil Durk linked with crooner James Fauntleroy and rapper Talib Kweli for a moving song dubbed, “Eyes.” Instead of bragging about his street ways, the Chicago rapper sheds some light on the real ills of his old neighborhood.
Here, Durk and Talib rap about the harsh realities of growing poor, black and a serious lack of resources as Fauntleroy bellows a melodious hook.
“Eyes” is part of a collaboration with “We Can Do This”, a non-profit organization that uses entertainment to uplift the world. It has no geographic, ethnic or social limits.
According the company’s website, the company is considering hosting a contest that will allow one underprivileged person to be featured on “EYES.”
