Lil Kim made a surprise appearance on Christina Aguilera‘s Liberation Tour to perform her verse in the number-one, Grammy-winning cover of Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade.”
The Queen Bee’s surprise appearance was during the Madison Square Garden stop on Xtina’s tour, where Bill and Hillary Clinton were reportedly in attendance. Elsewhere during the show, musical group Great Big World surprised the audience and came out to perform “Say Something” with Aguilera.
There hasn’t been a full reunion between Kim, Aguilera, Pink, and Mya since their 2002 Grammy performance of the song, which was featured on the soundtrack for the film Moulin Rouge!, but thanks to Kim’s appearance, we’re hopefully moving closer to one.
Last year during an interview with ET Canada, Mya spoke on the possibility of a reunion.
“I don’t remember any cat fights, we just got the job done,” she said regarding the rumors that the singers, namely Aguilera and Pink, weren’t all that friendly towards each other behind-the-scenes. “And we came to give a show at the end of the day. So it was a lot of fun and I really hope that we can reunite and do the song.”
Check out a few audience videos of the exciting mini-reunion last night below.
