I’m not too sure what Kimberly was going for, but the cover art for her Hardcore mixtape is serving cheap romantic novel realness.
Lil Kim has since made a very loud return to music ever since giving birth to her baby girl Royal Reign. After jumping on the Beyonce and Nicki Minaj “Flawless” remix, and then making a slew of other cameo appearances, Lil Kim is reminding everyone who the real queen of rap is, or at least attempting to.
Kim released the cover art for upcoming Hardcore mixtape and it’s filled with all the makings for a romantic novel. The black panther lying on a plush carpet with the piercing eyes wearing what appears to be an expensive necklace is the first thing fans will see. Behind the giant cat is enough money to probably clear up a Sallie Mae student loan balance. To the left of the kitty looks like a Hermes Birkin bag and not too far from the purse is some champagne on ice.
Bouquets of red and pink roses adorn a fireplace and hanging above is a photo of Lil Kim with jet black flowing curly hair showing off her fun bags in a cleavage baring black top. Now, if you close your eyes for just one second you may wonder, are you about to listen to some music or read chapter seven of a Zane novel? I’m not sure.
Is the black cat suppose to represent Kim’s immense and untameable sexual prowess? The money her independence? The purse her ability to drape herself in only the finest things? Yeah. I don’t know.
But hey, who am I to judge?
