Lil Nas X continues to live his best life with no boundaries. As Pride Month came to a close Sunday (June 30), the artist decided to come out as gay.
The 20-year-old took to Twitter to share the news after his first international performance at the Glastonbury music festival. “Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm (f**k with me) no more,” he tweeted. “But before this month ends I want y’all to listen closely to ‘C7osure.'”The song ‘C7osure’ is a cut from his recently released EP, 7. The song relates to pushing forward, despite fears of what’s on the other side.
“Ain’t no more actin’, man that forecast say I should just let me grow/No more red light for me baby, only green, I gotta go/Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold/This is what I gotta do, can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old,” some of the lyrics include. The audio-visual shows a cartoon character escaping a family gathering where everyone is arguing.
He also made plenty of troll-like jokes about his own sexuality, noting how he’s made homages to the rainbow and said other things that relate to his sexuality in the past.

Nas X previously told fans to listen closely to his music with plenty reason with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “I want you to make sure you’re listening to every single thing,” he said about the EP. “You can’t just listen and be on your phone the whole time because you might miss something.”
The artist also has another feat to celebrate. “Old Town Road” is now three times platinum, as The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced Monday (July 1).
