If time travel is possible, Lil Uzi Vert might be interested in going on a trip back to the year 2013. On Friday (Jan. 11), the Philly rapper announced that he’s quitting music, and wouldn’t mind dipping back to the year before he released the Purple Thoughtz Vol. 1 EP.
“I wanna take time out to thank each and every one of my supporters but I’m done with music I deleted everything,” Uzi wrote on his Instagram Stories. “I wanna be normal..I wanna wake up in 2013.”
The 24-year-old rapper added, “You are free” and “Thank you love you” to the post.

Uzi’s second sophomore album, Eternal Atake, was expected to drop sometime this year, but the future of the project could hang in the balance, provided that he’s actually serious about calling it quits.
Either way, the announcement has Uzi fans deep in their feelings, and understandably so.
