
As Lil Wayne continues to march on in his fight against Cash Money and Birdman, he aired out more of his thoughts at Mass Appeal’s annual Live at the BBQ SXSW party. He was the headliner of the showcase, along with Mannie Fresh, DJ Mustard, Dave East, MadeinTYO, Denzel Curry, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie,G Herbo, Aminé, and more.

At one point during his performance, he went on to express his appreciation for his fans despite his ongoing troubles. “In all honesty, I know y’all do know I am going through some bullshit with my motherfuckin’ career,’ said Weezy with conviction. “N***as trying to steer my career without letting me do or say a damn thing. But, it’s moments like this that make that bullshit this big to me,” he says. “I appreciate you.”

This comes right after the news of Weezy receiving a renewed sense of inspiration from Rick Ross’s diss track to Birdman, “Idols Become Rivals”.
