To honor the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Lil Wayne will host Lil Weezyana Fest.
The August 28 benefit concert will take place in his native New Orleans and will honor the many lives lost during the horrific Category 3 storm that ravaged the Gulf Coast and submerged New Orleans under record breaking landfall.

Artist Drew Toonz took to Instagram Tuesday (July 7) to post the artwork for the upcoming benefit concert.
Hurricane Katrina originated in the Bahamas on August 23, 2005 and intensified to a Category 5 storm while nearing the Gulf of Mexico but then lessened to a Category 3 storm by the time it hit southeast Louisiana on August 29. According to reports, about 1,800 people died during the storm, which is considered one of America’s deadliest natural disasters, as well as the costliest, with property damage at $108 billion.
No details just yet on where the concert will take place, but major shout out to Wayne for his benefit gig.
