It seems like everyone has an opinion on the controversial posthumous Aaliyah album, particularly because of it’s rumored producer: Drake.
The latest to make his opinion known is Drake’s YMCMB captain Lil Wayne. In a brief interview with The Showbiz 411, Weezy said of the new Baby Girl project, “Everybody know what Aaliyah did and done for music—and culture, period. It’s always good to do that, not only for people like that, but just for her fans. Drake’s a very thoughtful person, everybody knows that. It’s an awesome collaboration.”
While some may not agree with Weezy—Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Ginuwine in particular—one thing we all can agree on is his opinion on her music in general. He continued by adding, “Her music is still awesome. It’s still better than a lot of music out right now.”
