Lil Wayne fans took a stroll with the rapper while he was incarcerated back in 2010, as he penned monthly letters to his supporters from behind bars at Rikers Island.
This made his eight-month prison stint for gun charges fly by for some, as the rapper stayed in tune with his fans, kept his ears to the streets, and gave updates about his life and what to expect from him upon his release.
Lil Wayne’s tragic life experience that led to his great pen game, coming straight from the penitentiary, caused the rapper to receive his new title — author.
He will be releasing a prison memoir, Gone ‘Til November: A Journal Of Rikers Island, on October 11.
Published under Penguin Random House, the book is a “deeply personal and revealing account of his time spent incarcerated on Rikers Island for eight months in 2010.”
The long awaited 176-page, personal account from the rapper is available for pre-order on Penguin, Amazon and Barnes & Noble today. Feel free to snag and secure your copy now.
