Wayne sought $10 million from Cash Money for the Tha Carter V, compiled from an $8 million advance and $2 million owed upon the album’s completion. After the delayed release and resistance to pay the Young Money CEO, Wayne began legal action in April. Talks of a truce between the two have spun through the rumor mill, but the signing with the royalty company seems to rebut the hearsay. Several voices have chimed in with their thoughts on the beef, including DJ Khaled and 50 Cent.
The $10 million in regards to Tha Carter V is a part of a larger, $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money. It’s clear that Wayne is stopping at nothing to collect his coins.
