Nicki Minaj’s fourth studio album Queen has only been out for a couple of days, but it has already left quite the impression on friends and fans. Lil Wayne recently shared a video on social media on Aug. 12, congratulating Nicki on her latest album release. He also dubbed her project “one of the best albums” he’s heard thus far.
“First of all, I just want to congratulate the beautiful queen, Miss Nicki Minaj, for the beautiful album, Queen, which is, to date, in my opinion, one of her best albums yet,” he said in the PSA-style video.”I’m not gonna go out there on a limb and say it’s her best album, because I can still listen to songs [from] when she was about… when she was a teenager, and I still hear vocals and lyrics from there that are, to me, the best thing she’s ever said in her life. So, I’m specific like that.”
He added: “To date, it’s one of the best albums yet — and I don’t mean out of her catalog. I mean period.” Tunechi also shouted out her controversial single “Barbie Dreams,” saying that she is “spitting her a** off” on the Biggie-inspired track.

After catching wind of the video online, Nicki responded in utter shock and appreciation. “Speechless. Love him so much,” she tweeted. “Can’t believe he said this. Greatest rapper alive said this about me.”
Lil Wayne isn’t the only artist to show Nicki love. Stars like DJ Khaled, Trina, Big Sean, and more have also given the rapper her props for releasing a dope body of work.
Queen is currently available on all streaming platforms. The album features appearances from Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Future, Foxy Brown, and more.
