Lil Wayne mentioned it once before and he’s stating it again. His forthcoming album Tha Carter V will be the final installation to his “Carter” collection, the New Orleans-native said in an interview with MTV.
“I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five,” The 31-year-old said he’ll still hop on a track as a guest feature, but one more independent body of lyrics will cost a hefty fee. “25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this,” he said.
The “No Worries” rapper recently dropped the Young Money: Rise Of An Empire compilation project, which precedes the release of Tha Carter V on a tentative launch date of May 5.
