Lil Wayne Says There’s No Chance He’ll Work With Birdman Again

Lil Wayne stunned fans that he might retire from the rap game for good after a series of tweets of his mental anguish with his Cash Money/Birdman situation became too much to handle.

Although he reportedly dismissed those previous claims that he was done with rap altogether, he took it a step further on Fox Sports’ Undisputed and shared that he and Birdman’s working relationship is over.

When asked by co-host Shannon Sharpe whether or not there’s room to mend a partnership between he and Baby, the “No Mercy” rapper simply said, “No sir.”

“This is business. Once business is involved… I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, we got bills. Once the business is right, then everything is right,” he said. “I did feel that way, and I didn’t take the tweet down because I said I still feel that way. Until something is done about it then maybe it’ll change.”

Wayne summed up his stance that once he receives his pay day, then he’ll “walk off free, smiling.”

In another clip, Wayne revisited a time where co-host Skip Bayless asked him his thoughts on his crowd of concertgoers being predominantly white. The New Orleans native shared that he interpreted it as “a message that there was no such thing as racism.”

“When I’m coming out the bottom of the stage when I’m on tour and I’m in my stance and I open my eyes, I see everybody,” he said. “I don’t have a this type of crowd or that type of crowd. My crowd has always been everybody, thank God. That’s all I can answer for.”
