The “Bound 2” emcee came under heavy criticism after his comments on Beck’s win of Album of the Year award at the Grammy ceremony on Sunday (Feb. 8). “Beck is one of the nicest guys & one of the most respected musicians. I wanted to go on stage as a joke, but not take away from his moment,” he said. The 37-year-old’s headlining statements also brought up old memories of snatching the mic from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, but the pair made up and even hinted at collaborating on a track in the near future.
“Taylor Swift came up to me right after I went on stage, and told me I should’ve went on stage.”
