When we sat down with Juicy J this week, the Taylor Gang rapper told us about his turn in the lab with Miley Cyrus. He told us he’d make a cameo on her Bangerz LP, and that the two had also joined forces on the new Mike Will Made It track “23.”
Mike Will sat down on Sway’s Universe and previewed “23,” which features the former Disney star rapping along with Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa. “I thought we were gonna knock out one song — “We Can’t Stop” — then me and her just caught a vibe,” Mike Will said of working with Miley. He didn’t stop there. The 24-year-old hit-maker, who serves as a producer on her upcoming LP, had nothing but admiration for Cyrus. “She killed,” he said of Miley’s “legendary voice.” He also stuck up for Miley’s turn at urban music.
“It’s not like she just walking around trying to wear Marc Ecko and her hat to the side, and trying to be extra ‘Yo, what up my nigga,” he said. “She’s just cool. She just be chillin. She all the way her but she just a fan of the music.”
On “23” Miley takes a page from Ciara’s recent staccato raps. “I’m in the club, high on purp, with some shades on/ Tatted up, mini skirt with my Js on,” Cyrus opens up the track before getting a tiny bit nastier. “I back it up ’cause I don’t give fuck/ If you are lame that’s a shame, you can’t hang with us/ I’m MC Hammer fly, you can’t touch.” Spin the song below at the 6:50 mark.
