LL Cool J gave us a dose of his trolling skills Monday (Mar. 14) when he announced on Twitter he was retiring from music, only to delete the tweet and announce his un-retirement and a forthcoming album.
“Today I officially retired from music. Thank you for the love.” he originally wrote. Soon after, the tweet was gone, and he posted “Today I’m officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album…”
Today I’m officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album .. studio time is set for 8pm.. I’m gonna massacre the rap game!!!

He also went on a Kanye-style rant for several tweets, which were also deleted and later hailed as a “joke.”
“I want fans vs haters to start making wagers on my next album… my day 1s should bet big. I got this,” he wrote.
There were reports swirling that the “I Need Love” rapper was in the studio with Dr. Dre, but we need a little more info to confirm if LL is truly about to “massacre” the rap game. His last album was 2013’s Authentic, and he has 13 albums under his belt.
Oh because I’ve been doing this a long time I can’t have fun with this twitter game ? Lol 😆😆😆😆
