Logic uses his live performances to make a statement that’ll live beyond the three minutes that he’s onstage. At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards (Aug. 20), the 28-year-old performed “One Day” featuring Ryan Tedder, and was accompanied by a group of children and adults that wore t-shirts with the printed statement “we are all human beings.”
The “Everyday” rapper has remained a voice for the youth from encouraging his listeners to seek professional help if they’re having suicidal thoughts and fighting for those in the crosshairs of DACA’s contention. Recently, the Maryland native released the video for “One Day” which takes several looks at immigration, indoctrinated racism, and a clear message for Donald Trump that opposes his relentless plan of building a wall along the Mexico/U.S. border.
In an interview with Power 106, Logic also shared that he has completed “several albums” that will presumably challenge politics and other national topics. “The reason I have all that done in advanced is because of the films and the novels that I’m doing and the TV show and all the stuff I’m starring in, writing in, and production company and the record label, and the artists I have signed,” he said. “I want to make sure I have everything gets its proper time.”
