Fourth of July is right around the corner, and Ludacris is expected to take the stage at this year’s Freedom Festival which will be held at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. Not only will he be hitting the stage, but reports say he’s the festival’s headlining performer.
“Gitmo hasn’t seen a star with as big a name as Ludacris in several years,” says Navy Chief, Monique Hilley, when asked about this year’s special guest in an independent interview. Guantanamo Bay is a Naval Base for the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, which holds those captured during the War On Terror.
The camp has been dealing with accusations left and right about prison conditions and alleged tortures ever since a video surfaced back in 2013, but that won’t stop the party because the concert will be held miles away from the prison. This Fourth of July will definitely be one to remember for Guantanamo Bay.
