M1 of the legendary — and revolutionary — hip-hop duo dead prez is back with some lyrical food for the people. Finding new inspiration overseas, M felt captivated to record a full length album with a like minded force from Italy — of all places.
“I met Bonnot many years ago when dead prez was featured on his producer album,” M1 tells VIBE. “Things progressed quickly from there, and many songs & tours later we found ourselves prepared to take on a stale U.S. music scene. Many identify me as a “conscious rapper” — although I would rather [be called] Reality Archivist.

Feeling as if his European comrade was a kindred spirit when it comes to music and his beliefs, the Brooklyn native was quick to get the ball rolling on the project. “It was ironic to travel to Italy and find an artist with a similar perspective and musical journey,” says M1 about the album. “His is linked with the Italian version of Public Enemy, Assalti Frontali, and mine of course with dead prez.”
Today (May 6), VIBE is proud to debut the full LP with the cosign of the RBG family. This collaborative effort shows that it doesn’t matter your race, color or creed — unity of all people will truly help change the world.
“This is more than an album that tells a story. It’s a string of power-singles each on a wave of their own,” says M!.” In a world of feature-driven mixtapes and albums, we did not want to obscure our message although we did invite the legendary Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Divine RBG, Jahdan Blakkamoore and the sultry Grenique Harper into our alchemy.”
