If you’re a Mac Miller fan, you didn’t have much time last night to mentally prepare yourself (Aug. 6). The Pittsburgh rapper announced his finished major label debut a week ago. But no one expected the music video of his first single to come so soon.

“100 Grandkids” dropped at exactly midnight. The two-part single comes off his album GO:OD AM, set for release next month (Sept. 18) with Warner Bros. Records. From the auditorium to the parking lot, Miller continues professing his endless love for making moola:
“I made a promise to my momma/That I’ll bless her with some grandkids, she can spoil them/ Until then, I’m getting dollars, I’m just doing what I gotta.” Sorry Momma Miller, no grandkids just yet. Miller schools listeners with his success since debuting as a teen rapper, while his video takes a lesson from the drama club. He brings the same energy as past videos, far from the yawn of Miller’s third studio album’s aesthetics. Sticking true to his humor, the song ends with a woman wanting to go to Chipotle.
