Mac Miller’s cause of death had been revealed nearly two months after he passed away. According to the toxicology report, the rapper reportedly died from a mix of Fentanyl and cocaine, TMZ reports.
The L.A County Coroner’s Office released the toxicology report on Monday (Nov. 5). The report claims he died from “mixed drug toxicity,” including Fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. Fentanyl is a prescription-based drug that treats severe pain. It is reportedly certified as an “accidental overdose.”
As previously reported, Mac passed away on Sept. 7. He was reportedly found in the bedroom of his San Fernando Valley home and pronounced dead at the scene.
Mac had been battling substance abuse and addiction for years. He’s referenced his issues in his music throughout his career.
Just one month before his death, Mac dropped his final studio album, Swimming. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 1 shortly after his death.
