On Friday afternoon (Sept. 7), reports of the death of Pittsburgh, Penn. rapper Mac Miller sent a shock around the ‘Net. According to TMZ, Miller died from an apparent drug overdose. He was 26.
After earlier reports of a DUI and arrest, he showed promise that things were on a slow but steady upswing for him. Condolences from the likes of Wiz Khalifa, his old labelmate, Chance the Rapper, J. Cole, Solange Knowles, Q-Tip, Jaden Smith, ASAP Rocky, Thundercat (with whom he was supposed to go on tour this fall) and many more seem to confirm the shock his tragic passing.
While his friends, peers and fans alike are surely scrambling for answers, they are also offering an outpour of thoughts, emotions and comfort for those directly affected. Below are some of the immediate reactions.
