Mally Mall has been accused of running a major sex and human trafficking operation out of Las Vegas, TMZ reports. LAPD reportedly raided Mall’s Encino, Calif. home on Wednesday (April 3), executing two separate warrants for potential exotic animal possession and human trafficking charges.
Despite the LAPD’s raid, Mall’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told Billboard on Thursday (April 4) that his client was not arrested. “Mally Mall’s house was searched pursuant to a warrant and he was temporarily detained during that period, which is standard procedure,” Mr. Sadow said. “[Mally Mall] was not arrested. He was not charged.”
The cotton-top tamarin monkey listed in the police warrant was reportedly not found at Mall’s house, but wildlife officials have been working to remove a serval wildcat from the residence, CBS Los Angeles reports.
In regards to the sex trafficking allegations, three Nevada prostitutes filed a civil lawsuit against the musician weeks ago that alleged they were manipulated into the illegal sex trade.
One of the prostitutes who filed the case claimed she responded to an ad for a job posting by one of Mally Mall’s employees in 2006. The company was a VIP Entertainment business based in Dallas. She alleged she was trafficked across state lines and came to Vegas to work as a prostitute for the company.
The woman claimed Mall used “methods of fraud” to trick women into working for him by saying the business was as glamorous as being a Playboy Bunny. In addition to having sex with other clients, the woman said he was “forced” to perform oral sex on Mall. She said she was initially allowed to keep 30 percent of the money she earned but eventually she had to give up 100 percent to Mall.
Sadow told TMZ the allegations are false. “This is simply a nonsense lawsuit,” he said, “and as such, the allegations against Mally Mall are not deserving of further comment.”
