Mariah Carey is back with her 15th studio album, Caution. The new release dropped on Friday (Nov. 16) on all streaming services.
The album is succinct with just 10 tracks, capping in at 38 minutes long. However, there’s no shortage on the amount of material or the amount of features. The legendary singer calls on Ty Dolla $ign, Slick Rick, Blood Orange and Gunna for the project.
Three of the tracks on the album were released before the official drop, “GTFO,” “With You” and “A No No.” Earlier in the year, Carey said that this album is a labor of love to her longtime fans, the “Lambily.”
“Some of the record is lighthearted and fun, and some [songs] I really went deep in terms of the lyrical content,” she said. “There’s a nice cross-section of things… This is a labor of love and I’m really excited…My fans just want to hear me express myself and speak from the heart and sing from the heart.”
Mimi has a lot to celebrate lately. Other than her latest album’s release, the soundtrack to her 2001 movie Glitter recently topped the iTunes album charts. She also recently announced she’d be going on a world tour to support Caution in 2019.
