In case you’ve missed the memo: Future is looking to conquer new land in 2017. This week, pop group, Maroon 5 tapped the Freebandz general for their new single, “Cold.” With Adam Levine’s catchy vocals and addictive production, the ATL rapper adds some Southern spices to the radio-friendly track.
With love on the brain Future raps about all the women that he has failed with. On the track, he raps, “Never thought that you were like this/I took the tag off of major prices/I just spent half a mill’ on a chandelier/Now you tryna cut me off like a light switch, yeah/Trying to stay, and I leave/Saying that you need some time to breath.”
Maroon 5 is set to release their new, not-yet-titled, album sometime this year. Back in 2014, M5 featured Kendrick Lamar on their single, “Don’t Wanna Know,” which was featurd on their album, V.
“Cold” is available for purchase on iTunes now.
