There aren’t too many artists with Mary J. Blige’s longevity that can still stir up excitement at the news of a new album. But Mary J. Blige isn’t just any kind of artist.
The Queen of R&B soul has been tucked away in a studio working on her forthcoming project The London Sessions. With appearances from some of UK’s biggest talents such as Sam Smith and my personal favorite Emeli Sande, MJB’s latest project is set for release December 2 and I can’t wait!
In the three minute black-and-white video we see producer Rodney Jerkins along with Sam Smith and Emeli Sande speak about working with Blige and what it means for her to produce her 13th album across the pond. Mary admits that she’s always been proud of what she’s done but never tried to limit herself and recreate it. While crafting the sound for this new project, Mary also said she wanted something new and different.
