Back in January it came out that rapper turned pastor, Mase, secretly filed for divorce against his wife of 12 years and co-pastor, Twyla Betha. While, rumors were spreading that the two were working it out, TMZ says the divorce is definitely still on. Allegedly, both parties are going for the jugular, fighting for full physical custody of their two children. Twyla is even asking for full spousal support, but Mase is in not taking that sitting down.
Despite reports that the former bad boy filed to dismiss his divorce petition the day before Valentine’s Day, TMZ did some digging and it was revealed that the two have been separated since May of 2012. Mase first filed in Atlanta but then when Twyla filed for legal separation in San Diego, Mase came back hard demanding a full blown divorce. Apparently, he wanted custody of the kids and even asked her to pay him child support.
The couple built their empire based on the strength of their marriage, with a successful book serious entitled, “What Do You Do After I Do?” With Mase already under fire from the church over some controversial lyrics which contradict what he preaches on the pulpit, the church won’t be too happy about this update either.
Mase is still working on his upcoming album, Now We Even.
