Funkmaster Flex seems to have centered himself in the recent tensions between Meek Mill and Drake. After Meek took to Twitter to accuse Drizzy of failing to pen his own rhymes, Flex dropped a bomb on a reference track to If You’re Reading This It’s Too late standout, “10 Bands.” Since the revelation, featuring raps by alleged ghostwriter Quentin Miller, Flex has also taken to Twitter with a rant of his own against Drake, threatening to release three more reference tracks.
On Saturday night (Jul 25), Drake let off his first response since the social media debacle, with the release of “Charged Up.” Prompting a Twitter response from Meek Mill, the MMG rapper referred to the track as “baby lotion soft.” Flex also posted a video while spinning the track on HOT 97. “Nigga you thought I wasn’t going to play it!!!!” he wrote on Instagram.
Now, Funkmaster Flex and Meek Mill will have their very own sit-down. Flex posted a photo to share the news of the impending interview.
“#Monday x #7pm x #MeekMill x #Exclusive x #Hot97 x #FunkFlex !!!!!!! #ILoveThisGame,” his caption read.”
The masses are now waiting for an on-wax response to “Charged Up” from Meek Mill. Tune in on Monday to see if he has anything cooked up.
