His first official set since his prison release, Meek was joined by with A-list guest including Allen Iverson, Yo Gotti, Lil Durk, Jeezy, Fabolous, Rick Ross, French Montana and Beanie Sigel.
Yup, you read that right. The 40-year-old rapper finally returned to the stage after suffering a slew of mishaps last year. From getting shot in the abdomen in December to being released from jail in August for tax evasion, the MMG cohort’s fellow Philly native also made his return.
“They done and sent my nigga to prison. They done shot my nigga. But he’s still back holding it down for Philly,” said Meek Mill to a crowd of about 20,000 when speaking of the Broad Street Bully, according to Revolt.
Beans hit the stage to perform the 1999 track “Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up).” He was also accompanied by other State Property members, Neef Buck and Young Chris who performed classic cuts like “No Better Love” and “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.”
In addition to Meek bringing out Beans, he also had some choice words when about his alleged relationship with Nicki Minaj.
“Somebody asked me, ‘How you get Nicki Minaj?’” Meek said. “I said, ‘I’m a Philly n—a, what the f–k is wrong with you?’”
