Meek Mill was reportedly pulled over by the cops this week, but the motive for the sudden run-in is not what you think.
Meek was reportedly pulled over while riding in his car in Jamaica earlier this week just so the cops could snag a photo with the famous artist.
The Philly native recorded the incident on his phone. “You’re trying to take a picture, mon?” Meek asked the cops in a fake Jamaican accent. “I’m f**ked up! Y’all pulled us over and y’all said y’all want a picture, mon? Y’all scared us! We’re scared of police! We thought we were getting locked up!”
If this occurrence hadn’t happened outside of the country, this might’ve been alarming for Meek. The rapper is no stranger to the criminal justice system after all. The “24/7” artist was previously sentenced to two to four years in prison for probation violations.
He has been viciously fighting for criminal justice reform in the United States and just launched an organization called Reform Alliance to advocate for change with Jay-Z, Van Jones, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin and more.
