
Method Man recently dropped a new single entitled “Grand Prix” on Aug. 13. The track was released to build anticipation surrounding his upcoming project The Meth Lab II: The Lithium.
On the Dame Grease-produced single, Method Man flexes his lyrical skills. “Call me pro meth, It’s clear this kinda syrup ain’t your mamas Baby mama drama, tryna act like she Madonna / Like a virgin, but I’m certain that this person a piranha / Man eater, Jeffrey Dahmer,” he raps.
As previously noted, “The Grand Prix” is the single from Method’s upcoming project. The rapper reportedly enlisted his Wu-Tang Clan as well as “new cats from Staten Island we thought was dope” to collaborate on the project.
In an interview with Billboard, the artist explained his decision to release a sequel to his 2015 album. “I can rhyme my ass off, that ain’t nothin’ new,” he said. “People already knew that, but they just tend to forget. Every now and then you’ve gotta remind them.”
Meth Lab II was reportedly recorded in the Meth Lab Studios in Staten Island. The project will reportedly drop later this year. Listen to “Grand Prix” here.
