Since the release of Kanye West’s “Champions,” a mega-collabo of artists featuring Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Quavo, Desiigner, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz and Yo Gotti, fans have wondered whatever happened to another collaboration that was heard with ATLiens, Migos.
Back in March, a snippet was leaked to Twitter of a track featuring the group and an autotuned ‘Ye. Quavo and Takeoff taunted fans with subliminals towards Kanye’s presumptive new project, Turbo Grafx 16 on Instagram because, social media.
Speaking with Acton Entertainment, the group (minus Offset) shared they have several songs with Kanye and plan to release them when the timing is right. “We got multiple songs with him, we just locking them in and just working,” Quavo said. “We keep a lot of things in the vault with other artists that you might hear snippets of. We just keep them in the chamber ready to be fired, that’s it.”
Timing seems to the main theme behind their upcoming projects. After announcing the third installment of their No Label mixtape series in April, Takeoff says they’re not interested in putting a time stamp on the project. “We aren’t going to release a date yet, but we got heat on the way, they’re coming,” he said. “We don’t want to get the fans upset with a date so we’re just going to come through. It’s already done, we don’t need to edit anymore since it’s already finished.”
In terms of music, looks like the summer just got better. Check out the rest of the interview below.
