While Seattle Seahawks fans cope with Sunday night’s loss to Brady and the Pats (and probably went to work Monday so they wouldn’t get fired) Missy Elliott woke up at the top of the charts. The three singles Missy performed– “Work It” “Get Your Freak” On and “Loose Control”– during Katy Perry’s halftime show, are all sitting comfortably in the top ten of the iTunes singles charts, even if some of the youngins don’t know who she is.

Katy Perry may have wowed the audience with her Cheetos inspired costume, but it was Missy who some believed ignited the crowd with singles that still proved powerful almost a decade later. And while many believed Missy stole the show, the “Roar” singer also enjoyed a boost in sales. Her album Prism catapulted to the top 10 of the iTunes album charts. Hey, I guess everybody’s eating. Congrats to the ladies.
