Mos Def has returned with a new melody, which took his fans by surprise Friday evening (Aug. 28). Well actually, record producer Ski Beatz dropped the previously recorded track in an attempt to get Mos to complete a full-length album.
Hope you guys are enjoying that “Sensei On The Block” joint!! Let me know. Next step is to get Mos to do this full length with ya boy!

The Brooklyn native revisits his classic sound on “Sensei On The Block” as he spits lyrics that will put your favorite rapper to shame. Recently, the “Supermagic” lyricist challenged his fellow emcees to a rap battle following this summer’s beef between Meek Mill and Drake.
“Me, Black Thought and King Los versus anybody, everybody, battle anybody, I don’t care who you tell,” he said in a video. “Red Bull Music Academy put up a mill on that and we’ll give our winnings to charity and take your money too. Tired of these dudes pretending to be dope. You’re alright, but relax, the dope n***as that think they dope, you ain’t as dope as you think.”
Unfortunately the lyrical showdown failed to happen, but at least we received fresh music from Def to hold us over until word of an album arrives.
