It’s comeback season for R&B diva, Mýa. After 20 years in the game, Mýa is reminding fans who’s the (R&B) boss with the release of her new music video,”Damage.”
Having first gained attention as a dancer in the ’90s, the “It’s All About Me” star brings the heat in typical, jaw-dropping fashion as she alluringly expresses passion and desire with every step of the heavily choreographed visual.
“‘Damage’ is about taking risks, stepping into new territory regardless of the outcome,” Mýa explains. “This thing we call love has always been tricky and as beautiful as it can be, we can potentially lose ourselves in it. With the good often comes the bad. That’s life and it’s scary. But the song expresses that with an intense passion and yearning, I’m willing to risk it all for that special one who sets my soul and desire on fire, despite the potential damage it may bring.”
Directed and produced by the notable Galen Hooks, the video is sexy and simply compliments the singer’s moves of standing alone and narrating the strong emotion behind the song.
“Damage” is the 6th track off Mýa’s eighth studio album, T.K.O. (The Knock Out). Peep her latest video up top.
