Nas has reportedly filed a complaint claiming that his ex-wife Kelis is violating their custody agreement, TMZ reports. According to court documents obtained by the celebrity site, Nas is upset that Kelis moved to Colombia with their son, Knight.
According to the docs, Kelis and her family, including their nine-year-old son moved to Cartagena in Dec. 2018. Problem is, Nas was supposed to spend New Year’s Eve with their son. But Kelis reportedly texted him, saying the plans had changed. He claims Kelis and Knight didn’t return to the Unites States until Jan. 14.
Nas is saying that it has become a larger problem in regards to their custody agreement as he has learned that Kelis and her new husband have a farm in Colombia and plan to live there permanently. The Queens rapper claims Kelis has withdrawn their son from private school in Los Angeles and is currently homeschooling him. As a result of not receiving the required notice about their travels, Nas is looking to straighten the whole thing out in court.
As previously reported, Nas and Kelis have had a hostile custody battle throughout the years. The exes reportedly reached an agreement in 2017, which stated that they would share parental rights and Knight would split up his time spent during holidays and birthdays. Even so, Nas has previously accused Kelis of keeping their son from seeing him, to which Kelis has previously denied.
