Nas will be calling the shots at the Sweet Chick restaurant franchise after partnering with owner John Seymour and Peter Bittenbender of Mass Appeal. The establishment caters to southern cuisine and has a reputation for its chicken and waffles, but now, the “If I Ruled The World” MC already has things cooking in the kitchen.
In an interview with Mass Appeal, the Queens native spoke about his new business venture, saying, “It’s already great. I might add a dish or two maybe. Looking to bring an added essence of Real Lituationess to the already lit scene there. Me. I’m a ray of light, my G. Good times and a life is the right attitude.”
Sweet Chick announced the partnership at its first anniversary celebration for its Lower East Side location on June 16. The restaurant posted Wednesday, “STREET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THESE …. Last night we announced that @NAS will be partnering with us to expand the SWEET CHICK brand and helping us maintain that NY STATE OF MIND.”

Sweet Chick currently has two locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but as Nas’ Sprite can says for the recent “Obey The Verse” campaign, “The World is Yours.” HipHopWired reports the trio plan to bring Sweet Chick to the West Coast.
Whatever Nas has next on his plate, VIBE is ready.
