Although Gunplay doesn’t drop his new LP Living Legend until later this year, the Maybach Music Group artist has a new mixtape for his fans. Dubbed Aquitted, the project comes just in time for his show at S.O.B’s in New York City this Wednesday (June 12). Filled with hard freestyles and captivating interludes, the ten-track mixtap does not disappoint, especially with “Bible On The Dash.” Fresh from his house arrest sentence, Gunplay visited MTV’s RapFix Live to discuss the concept: “I wrote ‘Bible on the Dash’ when I was on the run,” Gunplay told MTV. “I had the beat for a year, and I knew not to play with that beat. That wasn’t a beat you just rap on. That’s a beat you let it all out on. At the time I was on the run, and there was a lot goin’ on in my mind, and I wanted to do harm to the person that called the police on me. I really wanted to, deep in my heart.
