Straight from the U.K. is EDM virtuoso Alex Metric, who’s latest EP Ammunition Pt. 2 is the latest to come out of the Skrillex-founded record label OWSLA.
An artist’s artist, Alex’s sound is deeply rooted in the earliest styles of underground dance music, touching on Disco, Funk, Chicago House and Detroit Techno as well as Indie Rock. His new EP provides the perfect soundtrack for sexy, sweaty, dimly lit lofts the world over, and has also found itself at huge festivals across the globe, such as Creamfields, Glastonbury and ULTRA in Miami.
Continuing to build his reputation as one of the UK’s hottest young producers with the early success of EP cut “Rave Weapon,” Alex has his sights on pushing the bar further – remixes from Aeroplane, Mark Starr and UZ on Ammunition Pt. 2 indicate that Alex Metric will not be taking his foot off the throttle any time soon. Audiences can catch him on the road this fall at a number of US dates (below).
Ammunition Pt. 2 is set for release on December 3.
