Chris Webby and Oncue recently teamed up to record a song for the victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting. As CT natives, the MCs came together “to give voice to the sorrow felt by the family and residents of Connecticut and the entire nation.”
“Home,” is inspired by and dedicated to the children and to the educators who gave their lives attempting to protect them. The victims have now all been called home, but it is to be hoped that their memories will live on and that this nation moves quickly to ensure that no families or communities ever again experience such tragedy,” said Webby’s publicist in a statement.
The track is now available to purchase on iTunes, where all proceeds from ‘Home’ will go towards The United Way of Western Connecticut to provide support services to the affected families and community and to the Ana Grace Marquez-Greene Music Scholarship Fund at Western Connecticut State University’s Office of Institutional Advancement.
