In 2010, Queensbridge rapper Killa Sha died due to complications from diabetes. The buzzing rapper ran with the likes of Tragedy Khadafi and was Mobb Deep’s first DJ before releasing a string of mixtapes in the early 2000’s. That led to his first solo album in 2007, the critically claimed God Walk On Water, but as he was working on his second album we lost him.
Now the always phenomenal Robbie Ettelson of Unkut has secured a brand new single from that second album, which Sha finished before he died and his friend DJ Phantom is now prepping for release. The album is called The Shepherd and the lead single is a remix of a song from his first album, ‘Cash,’ by the talented Audible Doctor. Sha was also apparently working on an album with Large Professor, but for now spin the new single below and expect The Shepherd to drop later in the year. — Max Weinstein
