Alchemist is teaming up with UK producer Budgie for an exclusive project with BAU Music and Get On Down called ‘The Good Book,’ and it’s unlike anything we’ve heard seen before. Each producer is contributing their own instrumental album built almost exclusively from gospel samples, and rappers like Action Bronson, Blu, Prodigy, Roc Marciano, A$ton Matthews and more are laying vocals down to these spiritual beats. The project will come housed in a faux book wrapped with leatherette and featuring gold foil printing.
The first offering is ‘In Heaven’s Home’ featuring Prodigy and Roc Marciano, so you shouldn’t need much convincing to play this one. Pre-orders for ‘The Good Book’ are available right now, and only 1000 will be made for the March 11 release. There will also be 50 deluxe copies that include a BAU/Good Book-branded MicroG G-Pen for all the wax smokers out there.
