Usually it’s the MCs who consistently drop fresh and from the heart material that have lasting careers. Budding Pittsburg rapper Boaz is one of those MCs. If you haven’t been following his street credible/conscious mixtapes, then you’re sleeping on hip-hop. But don’t worry, he’s no gimmick. So he’ll be here a while. Today, the Rostrum artist released the lead single and visual, “Intuition,” off his forthcoming album of the same name.
In the Dan Meyers-directed video, Boaz strolls down memory lane as he reminisces watching Yo MTV Raps with his brother, going to the store for the hood OGs only to find himself hanging on the same blocks once he comes of age.
Recently, Boaz released projects, Real Name, No Gimmicks Vol. 1, and RNNG Vol. 2. Intuition is slated for an Oct. 21 release and features guests Jadakiss, Styles P, and Junior Reid. Jim Jonsin, !llmind, Team Green, among other, handle production duties.
