Despite numerous delays, Nicki Minaj surprised fans and dropped her fourth studio album Queen on Aug. 10. The album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Future and more.
The album includes the pre-released singles “Chun-Li,” “Rich Sex” (featuring Lil Wayne), and “Bed” (featuring Lil Wayne).
In preparation for the album, Nicki launched her own Queen Radio channel on Apple Music’s Beats 1. On the show, she introduced special guests Kelly Rowland, Yo Gotti, and Kim Kardashian as well as answered fan question filtered by the Queen Radio hashtag. She also teased the new release date.
As previously reported, Nicki pushed back her album release date two times. The first time, she cites production details. The second time, she attributed the delay to an uncleared Tracy Chapman sample. Nevertheless, during the radio segment, she revealed that she had just finished the entire album, which would allow her to roll out the album on time.
Queen marks Nicki Minaj’ fourth album. She has stated that it will be the “best album of the year.” Queen is streaming now. Listen to it below.
