Despite her daughter’s release date for her fourth studio-album Queen perceived to be around the corner, Nicki Minaj‘s mother Carol will reportedly do a tell-all interview about her son Jelani’s rape case.
Via Twitter, Mama Maraj wrote that on Wednesday (Aug. 8), she’ll be speaking to “Hip-Hop ‘Hood Report with Charles Fisher & the ‘Fitness Sheriff'” to reveal more information about her son’s predatory sexual assault case that the court isn’t telling the public.
“Watch the Hip-Hop ‘Hood Report with Charles Fisher & the “Fitness Sheriff” as I share the SHOCKING NEWS the COURT DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW in a TELL ALL INTERVIEW about my son’s TRIAL,” she wrote on Saturday (Aug. 4). While some seem interested to see what Maraj will divulge and came with a refillable bottle of Petty Delight, the Barbz believe Nicki’s mother iss opening a can of worms too closely to the Head Barb In Charge’s release date.
“Now is not the time,do it after Nicki’s album..she is the most hated female rapper in the industry right now and they criticize her for what jelani did every damn day,” one user wrote, while another tweeted “dont stop our happines with this lets enjoy the album ..u know how the media and world is gonna come for onika.”
Nicki has never discussed her brother after his controversial trial. In Nov. 2017, Jelani was found guilty of predatory sexual assault and for endangering the welfare of a child; the victim in the case was his 11-year-old stepdaughter. He faces up to 25 years behind bars.
