Childish Gambino’s visual for “Feels Like Summer” has only lived on the web for a few hours but it hasn’t stopped fans from uncovering easter eggs in the animated visual.
Released Sunday (Sept. 2), the video includes some of the biggest names in music split with references towards community and their positions in culture. Interpretations of today’s conversations in music also linger with animated Travis Scott removing blocks from animated Nicki Minaj’s castle, Rae Shremmurd playfully spraying J.Cole with their water guns and Jaden Smith in a child-like superhero costume.
Between falsettos and the bridge, bigger animations appear like Beyonce with an ode to Fredo Santana, sad versions of Kid Cudi and Chris Brown with heavenly images of Rihanna, Whitney Houston and a youthful Michael Jackson.
Many have connected to a crying Kanye West in a MAGA hat being comforted by former first lady Michelle Obama.
There might be a lot to unpack here but in the meantime, enjoy the full list of who’s who below as well as when they appear.
