Leading up to the anniversary of the release of her “Anaconda” video, the popular tourist attraction company unveiled a statue inspired by the sexy visuals. Made in Nicki’s ponytail-sporting, gold chain-wearing, black booty shorts-rocking likeness, the Young money rapstress caught wind of the figure online, and proceeded to post her elated response:
“YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this. I would’ve went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda,” she wrote.
they had the dancers ready and everything. so iconic. Thank u A video posted by Nicki Minaj (@nickiminaj) on
The project was a six-month effort by a total of 20 artists that created the figure based on 300 different body measurements, according to the Los Angeles Times. The release of Nicki Minaj’s statue makes her the first female rapper to be bestowed the honor. She also encouraged her Barbz not to attempt to steal the statue, you know, because they’d go to jail:
Yall betta not start. This ain’t no gyot damn cardboard cut out that yall always steal. Dat ass will b right in jail https://t.co/2Zx5FEH9g3
